Additional Month Insurance

If you are staying for your 30 day grace period, or "additional month" following the end of your program, it is mandatory* for you to have insurance for this period. Insurance for your Additional Month can be purchased up until the final day of your program term. The Additional Month Insurance cannot be purchased after your additional month has started.

If you have not started your program and you are still in your home country, please contact your local office for information on purchasing insurance.

Your new insurance card will be sent to you approximately two weeks prior to the start of your additional month. Your card will be sent to your host family’s address. If you would like your card sent to another address, please contact Cultural Care at 1-800-448-5753.

*This requirement affects au pairs with legal departure dates of January 1st, 2012 and later. While au pairs departing before this date are not required by Cultural Care to purchase this insurance, it is highly recommended.
